Seven Point Plan

Infrastructure

Data Centers

  • NO TO PROJECT TANGO!

Roads and Transportation

  • Finish the Seminole Pratt Whitney Road widening and hold contractors accountable to minimize delays.
  • Extend State Road 7 to Northlake Boulevard to provide another major north-south route and reduce congestion on Seminole Pratt Whitney Road, Coconut Boulevard, and local roads.
  • Complete Northlake Boulevard improvements from State Road 7 to Bee Line Highway to improve traffic flow and safety.
  • Build more east-west roads between Northlake Boulevard and Okeechobee Boulevard as western communities continue to grow.
  • Resurface unsafe roads, repair potholes, and prioritize rural and Glades communities that have been ignored.
  • Improve dangerous intersections with turn lanes, traffic signals, better lighting, pedestrian crossings, and roundabouts where appropriate.
  • Synchronize traffic signals to reduce unnecessary stops and shorten commute times.
  • Expand sidewalks and bicycle paths to improve safety for pedestrians, cyclists, and students.
  • Protect emergency access so firefighters, EMS, and law enforcement can respond quickly despite increasing traffic.

Responsible Growth

  • Require roads, drainage, water, schools, and other essential infrastructure to be in place before approving new development—not years after families move in.
  • Promote smart growth that protects rural communities and respects how residents want their neighborhoods preserved.
  • Improve canal maintenance, culverts, drainage, and flood-control systems.
  • Oppose Project Tango and other inappropriate development that threatens surrounding communities.

Affordable and Workforce Housing

  • Expand affordable homeownership opportunities for first-time homebuyers, young families, veterans, and seniors.
  • Increase workforce housing for teachers, law enforcement officers, firefighters, nurses, healthcare workers, and other essential employees.
  • Support responsible accessory dwelling units for seniors, adult children, caregivers, and workforce employees while protecting neighborhood character.
  • Provide down-payment assistance for qualified first-time homebuyers and working families.
  • Partner with private businesses and nonprofit organizations to increase affordable and workforce housing without placing the entire burden on taxpayers.

Accountability and Transparency

  • Publish infrastructure project timelines, budgets, delays, and monthly construction updates.
  • Hold contractors accountable for unnecessary delays and cost overruns.
  • Ensure District 6 receives its fair share of county infrastructure funding.
